Catalog description
This is the fifth course in a series of eleven sequential nurse anesthesia courses designed to provide the Nurse Anesthesia/Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner student with in-depth knowledge and skills of nurse anesthesia care for highly specialized patient populations requiring anesthesia and surgical interventions. Concepts include assessment, techniques, planning and pharmacologic interventions for obstetrical, pediatric, geriatric, and obese patients in a highly structured and guided clinical learning environment. Culturally sensitive, patient centric, interprofessional anesthesia care across the life span is emphasized.
