Catalog description

This is the first course in a series of eleven sequential courses designed to provide the Nurse Anesthesia/Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner student with introductory evidenced based knowledge for delivering anesthesia care to patients across the life-span. This course provides an overview of foundational nursing, behavioral and basic science concepts that are paramount for delivering high quality, safe, anesthesia patient care. Students will demonstrate competence in the use of anesthesia equipment and technology.
