From Classroom to Career: Journalism

Catalog description

This course will prepare students to successfully transition from an educational environment to a professional career in journalism. Throughout the semester, students will identify strengths and weaknesses, create an effective resume, network and build contacts, and set strategic career goals aligned with their interests. They will also learn how to showcase their work in an online portfolio/ show reel and present themselves effectively in an interview in person and on Zoom.
