Catalog description

This course is designed to familiarize students with empirically supported applied behavior analytic (ABA) interventions for individuals across the lifespan. Specific skill areas to be discussed include the DSM and behavior analytic interventions; evidence-based practices; prevalence and etiology of ASD; screening and assessment for ASD; ADHD, Downs Syndrome, and Learning Disabilities; early intervention practices; assessing and intervening on social skills; parent training; learning disabilities; disruptive behaviors; food refusal and selectivity; sleep challenges; elimination disorders; assessing and treating behavior related to adulthood; and antecedent interventions for interfering behavior.
