Catalog description

This course introduces the Hunter College Dance Department and supports first-year dance majors and minors as they transition into collegiate dance study. By blending technical training, artistic exploration, and physical conditioning, students will enhance their movement proficiency, build strength and endurance, and develop self-care strategies for sustainable dance practice. Students will cultivate a critical understanding of dance as a field of study, encompassing its history, composition, and broader cultural significance.
