Continuous Improvement 3: Moving Systems

Catalog description

In this course, participants study and work to alter (improve) the systems that collectively create the conditions in which students learn. They study assessment/grading, professional development and supervision to understand how decisions are made in these instructional systems. They apply their knowledge of strategic inquiry learned in prior semesters to improving one sub-system. Participants become skilled in the identification of leverage points - small changes that can make a big difference - and in understanding the importance of and ways to drive organizational coherence across sub-systems.
