Hunter College · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Leadership for justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) requires doing things differently from what is typical in the existing culture of schools. This course begins with a focus on identity consciousness and the skills needed to communicate a personal leadership vision. It moves to a focus on collective leadership, further developing candidates’ toolbox of self-awareness, interpersonal and team-level leadership and conflict management skills for enacting transformational change. This course develops the foundational beliefs and skills needed to put individual and collective change agentry into practice. ¿This Key Course requires a grade of B or better to pass.¿Any student who receives a grade of F in this class will not be permitted to continue in the program.¿This course may be repeated only once.
