Continuous Improvement 1: Moving Students (KC)
Hunter College · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This first course in the continuous improvement (CI) strand focuses on developing the leadership skills and habits of mind needed to engage in collaborative, structured inquiry to truly move the needle for PreK-12 students. Participants learn to drill down in available data to identify a high-leverage area of focus; create targeted assessments to pinpoint students’ strengths and needs; and take action to drive improvement in teacher and student learning. Participants learn the typical challenges strategic inquiry teams face along with how to successfully navigate these challenges. This course prepares participants to lead high-performing teams (those that produce measurable improvements for students who have been outside the sphere of success at their schools) the following semester. ¿This Key Course requires a grade of B or better to pass.¿Any student who receives a grade of F in this class will not be permitted to continue in the program.¿This course may be repeated only once.
