Topics in Urban Histories and Theories

Catalog description

Courses offered under this rubric will introduce students to the study of cities and built environments through time and across cultures. Exploring urbanism in a variety of geographical and historical contexts, students will critically probe issues ofdesign, technology, ecology, planning, and socially situated practices in their relation to broader historical and environmental frameworks. Course number should be repeatable up to 3 times and also able to be taken simultaneously in a semester.
