Modern Dance

Catalog description

In this class, students will work to develop alert, strong and intelligent bodies. They will be exposed to a variety of approaches to dance technique and aesthetics. The students will learn through improvisation to develop movement material, to work alone and to work in collaboration with others. Students will increase their strength, suppleness and grace through a series of careful warm-ups, energetic center floor exercises, and spatially oriented movement.
