Playwrights and the Pulitzer Prize

Catalog description

Through close readings of their plays and an examination of their historical contexts, we will study dramatists who have won the Pulitzer Prize. Students will understand of how the literary works of these playwrights have both influenced and been influenced by the ideas of the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.
