Catalog description
This interdisciplinary social science course considers aspects of marijuana use and policy, where faculty from different social science disciplines contribute their perspectives. Experts will discuss the science of addiction and treatment, sociology of crime, the politics and policies that have recently shifted regulatory approaches, the public health challenges, how rhetoric has stigmatized marijuana and users, rational choice and addiction, and the emerging entrepreneurs of legal weed.
