Catalog description

The most successful leaders have a strong understanding of group dynamics – and the skills to manage diverse roles as leader and as team member across different contexts and cultures. Leadership and Authority in Groups enhances understanding of how differences within and among groups have an impact on organizations and decisions, and develops skills in building effective team performance. This course is unlike any other leadership course you have encountered. An intensive, participatory, four-day experience, you will emerge with a clearer picture of what you bring to group dynamics as well as a better understanding of how teammates relate to authority and to each other. Increased self-awareness and understanding of others’ behavior will make you more effective in groups and better able to lead groups to achieve goals. Note: The course has a compact format, meeting all day for several days -- registration by permission only. Requires 100% attendance in person for all sessions – and will start promptly at 9:00am each day.
