This course provides an introduction to environmental issues that have a profound impact on social justice. It addresses environmental sustainability and social equity in an interdisciplinary manner, drawing on a wide range of perspectives across geographical scales and historical eras. Topics covered span the social and natural sciences, including climate change and social justice at local and global scales; land use changes, anthropogenic forces, and global migrations; social movements and policy solutions; consumption, food justice, and climate adaptations; industrial and technological development and implications on the environment, and social justice.?
