Catalog description

An evolutionary perspective provides a theoretical framework with which to understand human behavior. The class utilizes (Neo-) Darwinian theory as a means of understanding what it means to be human. The central premise of the course: the process that resulted in our biology is the same process that has resulted in our psychology, i.e., evolution by natural selection. The course also looks at the evolution of culture from a Neo-Darwinian perspective.
