Theory and Practice of Dialetical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Catalog description

This course is designed to familiarize students with Dialetical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based cognitive psychological treatment initially developed for suicidal individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD), and currently used to treat BPD as well as certain other disorders. Students will be taught the primary theories, principles and strategies that inform DBT.
