Catalog description

This course provides an overview of theories, research, and issues in the study of human development during emerging adulthood. It focuses on the major biological, cognitive, and social changes during emerging adulthood; the psychosocial issues of adolescence and emerging adulthood, including identity, autonomy, intimacy, sexuality, and achievement; and the contexts in which adult development occurs, particularly families, peer groups, schools, work, and popular culture. This course discusses empirical research, theories, and public policy.
