This course explores the concepts of sustainability and sustainable developments in urban areas. It will consider how environmental, social, cultural, institutional, and economic factors shape urban and sustainability policy. Topics covered include environmental justice, housing, water supply and quality, transportation, public open spaces, public health, urbanization and sub-urbanization, greening initiatives, public management, and greening initiatives.
