Catalog description

This course examines how states, international institutions (principally the United Nations), and non-state organizations have responded to mass atrocity crimes, especially the debate over armed humanitarian intervention. It starts with the early twentieth century but focuses principally on the mass killings that have occurred since the end of the Cold War.
