Catalog description
A survey of the post-colonial literature of Lusophone Africa. Topics include the struggle for independence, geography, folklore, development of the arts, ideology, socio-political changes and social issues. A unit for each Lusophone country features film analysis, poetry, short stories, novels, and literary criticism and theory. Prerequisites: PORT 32100 and PORT 32200. 3hr./wk.; 3 cr.
