Catalog description
Students will learn about philosophical issues centered around memory, including traditional epistemological and metaphysical issues, as well as lesser-known moral and political issues. Readings include classics from Locke, Hume, Freud, Halbwachs, Russell and Ryle, as well as contemporary readings on the personal and collective memory, memory and morality, and the significance of memorialization.
