Primary Care Clerkship

Catalog description

Students work with board-certified family physicians and general internists to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness in this six-week clerkship. Emphasis is placed on health care delivery in the outpatient setting, health promotion, preventive medicine and the patient-centered medical home. The contextual approach to these disciplines will include integrating basic sciences, anatomy and physiology, embryology, ancillary diagnostics and medical terminology.
