Organized around six topics -- Music on Trial; Grrrl Power; Alternative goes Mainstream goes Alternative; Sounding Place and Race; Music and the Screen; and Collectives, Groups, and Features -- allowing us to explore a variety of genres, including, but not limited to: rock, hip hop, country, grunge, R&B, smooth jazz, heavy metal, and nu metal.
