Introduction to Biomedical & Community Health Research

Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce students to basic sciences research and community and population health research and highlight differences and similarities in approaches. Student will learn about (1) the purpose and definition of research; (2) examples of research questions; (3) approaches to address these research questions in each area; (4) laboratory and community-based data collection methodologies; and (5) reading peer-reviewed literature reporting on each area.
