Catalog description

The course will cover the following topics which are subdivided into 4 parts: Part 1 - Equations of motion, Turbulence, Turbulent kinetic energy, Dispersion turbulence, wake flows, boundary layer flows; Part 2- Convection, Radiation budget, surface energy balance, urban heat islands; Part 3- Water balance, clouds and precipitation, Pollution, Health and Energy sustainability; Part 4 - Computational fluid dynamics, Modeling, Measurements. Prerequisite: ME 35600 or CE 33000.
