Thesis Documentary Workshop

Catalog description

Building on the skills acquired in the first year of the MFA program, this course enables documentary students to practice and perfect their craft as they work toward the realization of their thesis projects. The course is run as a workshop in that students prepare initial scenes from their film in which they find weaknesses as well as strengths. These scenes are presented for critique of structure, narrative intent, and technical viability in preparation for possible additional shooting and for first cut screenings by the end of the semester.
