Throughout history wherever Jews have settled they have become distinguished as physicians and healers. This course will explore the role of Jewish tradition in directing Jews towards the healing arts, the biblical, rabbinic and kabalistic texts that encouraged Jews to study and practice medicine and the traditional approaches to healing taught by Jewish tradition.
