Catalog description

An investigation of religious behavior through the language of psychology. Major focus given to the writings of Freud, Fromm, Maslow and Hillman. Writings from anthropologists, historians and sociologists of religion are also included, including Mircea Eliade, Alan Watts, Lawrence LeShan, Arnold van Gennep and Peter Berger. Examples from but not limited to Jewish tradition will help concretize these many theoretical writings in a specific context.
