Global Health

Catalog description

During this course we will examine in detail the complex threats to population health from a global perspective. We will learn about the efforts of major international organizations and other global actors to achieve global health goals and the health-related Sustainable Development Goals. We will examine the body of international law that provides the framework for global health research, policy and practice. Our readings, viewings and regional and country case studies will cover communicable diseases; chronic diseases; injuries and violence and the social, commercial and legal determinants of global health.
