Examines ?magic bullets? of poverty alleviation in global development including microfinance, cash transfer, and poverty ?graduation programs and schemes. Students will analyze interventions for their effectiveness, contextual relevance, and gender sensitivity. Geographic focus is South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
