Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the study of gender in Latin America and examines how ideas about womanhood that emerged during the colonial period still inform social practices and political policy throughout the region. It takes an intersectional approach to understanding current feminist and disidencia movements against gender violence, for reproductive justice, and in favor of sex workers’ rights
