Catalog description

Three case studies will anchor the course. The first concerns China's ethnic minority theories and policies in the context of development practices in Yunnan Province, southwest China. The second focuses on the international development agenda, the development industry in Africa, and China's emerging presence on the African continent. The third case study addresses the political consequences of the fight against AIDS in Lesotho, southern Africa.
