The focus of this course is the cultural interaction among diverse groups in the world. Intercultural relations are examined through key themes such as religion and value systems, racial and ethnic relations, cultural identity, women's experience in different cultural settings, intercultural communication and forms of contemporary artistic expression. Students seeking a concentration in Culture and Communication, Comparative Civilizations, Area Studies and Education may substitute this course for the core course 20200: Comparative Political Economy.
