Catalog description
This course examines the cultural formation of the Caribbean and the diversity of contemporary Caribbean societies. Both the colonial and post-colonial experience of the Afro-Caribbean and the Hispanic Caribbean will be explored. Among the topics to be discussed will be family, religion, rural and urban life, race, color and class, and international migration. (W)
