Theory and practice of the modern organization, its historic development, and its role in our modern society. The course takes a functional approach, first introducing the role of a manager and the modern managerial environment, then exploring planning, organizing, leading, and control. Particular attention is given to developing the skills necessary to manage, lead, and compete in today’s world. 4 hr./wk.; 4 cr.
