In between we address themes such as the making of the Zulu nation, white-settler colonialism, Xhosa resistance, the rise and fall of an African peasantry, migrants and mines, Black urban culture, the politics of race and nationalism, Biko and Black Consciousness, and the Anti-Apartheid Movement.
