Catalog description

The main objective of this course is to introduce students to major theories, methods, and policy issues in the field of transportation economics. These include demand analysis and forecasting; cost, production and market structure of transportation services provision; externalities, pricing and regulation; investment analysis; and transportation public policy. Emphasis is on the use of economic theory and models for the analysis of real world transportation problems and policies.
