Social life is increasingly datafied and governed by algorithms ?that determine what ads and content we see, what opportunities we are given, and how resources are allocated. While regulations and advocacy groups attempt to reign in unethical and questionable practices, many data and algorithmic systems we encounter everyday remain hidden and unaccountable.
