Catalog description

This course explores key issues in health care delivery through an economic lens. Topics include cost-benefit and effectiveness analysis, justifications for government regulation, and the roles of major stakeholders, including physicians, hospitals, government agencies, health insurance providers, and pharmaceutical companies. Additional areas of focus include international comparisons and critical health policies, such as universal health insurance.
