Selected Topics in Comparative Literature

Catalog description

Basic introduction to ways of comparing various literatures and to the relations between literature and other forms of cultural production. Readings from world literature (in translation, as necessary) and from literary criticism and critical theory. Students will not get credit for a topic they have already taken under a different number, or be allowed to take this class more than three times.
