Topics include the age of development, Pan Africanism, military rule, African socialism, religion, ethnicity, structural adjustment programs, popular culture, and globalization. Case studies would be drawn from Angola, Congo, Eritrea, Ghana, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda & Zimbabwe.
