Bacterial Pathogenesis

Catalog description

This course will discuss key topics related to the interactions between bacterial pathogens and hosts. We will examine techniques used to identify causal relationships between pathogens, their products, and disease. Additionally, we will discuss the host defense mechanisms that pathogens must evade or manipulate to initiate and establish infection, as well as how these virulence strategies contribute to infection progression and spread.
