Comparative Animal Physiology

Catalog description

This course examines the physiological process involved on energy acquisition (e.g., nutrition, digestion) and expenditure (e.g., thermoregulation, locomotion) as well as water balance (e.g., osmotic stress, kidney function) in a wide variety of organisms inhabiting diverse environments. Laboratory exercises include problem solving recitations, experimentation and interpretation of data.
