Anthropology of Peacebuilding: Transitional and Social Justice

Catalog description

This course introduces students to an anthropological study of peace and peacebuilding. By looking at the array of ways communities organize to respond peacefully to war, state violence, and socioeconomic marginalization, this course examines how transitional and social justice is sought after by victims of war, social/political activists, and youth community leaders.
