This course aims to explore the foundations of environmental justice (EJ) as a discipline. It will investigate domestic and international socio-environmental issues from a global south perspective. The field of EJ asks for equitable treatment of all people regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, economic capacity, national origin, and education level concerning environmental policies and their implementation.
