Global Media Cultures

Catalog description

In this course, students examine media forms and technologies in a cross-cultural context by drawing on concepts from critical theory, poststructuralism, post-colonial theory, feminism, and other interdisciplinary theoretical frameworks. Over the semester, students will explore how culture, media, and globalization can be understood in a constantly changing media context.
