Examination of some of the central issues in Latin American philosophy in the medieval, modern and contemporary periods. Such topics as the definition of humanity, morality and colonialism, independence, race, gender, identity, social justice, moral and aesthetic value. Various philosophical perspectives such as positivism, pragmatism, existentialism. Starting Spring 2025 Satisfies Pathways Flexible Core World Cultures and Global Issues requirement.
