Catalog description
Close readings of ancient Latin epic, including, but not necessarily limited to, Virgil, Lucan, and Ovid. Study of the generic conventions of ancient epic. Students may take this course for credit twice but may not repeat the same texts. Qualifies as a LOTE (Language Other Than English) course for Pathways College Option purposes. Prerequisites: Latin 2119 or 3112 or permission of the chairperson.
