Motor Development and Learning

Catalog description

Students gain knowledge of motor development and learning and principles. Topics include the processes of skilled motor performance and motor skill acquisition, human motor development from childhood through older adulthood, the influence of perceptual, cognitive, physiological, and social development on motor development. Emphasis is on the practical application of concepts to the teaching of motor skills. Not open to students who have completed Kinesiology 3295. Not open to Physical Education students. Prerequisites: Health and Nutrition Sciences 2302 with a minimum grade of C HNSC #3300 Introduction to Biostatistics for the Health Sciences
