Individual and societal attitudes concerning death and life. How attitudes about death influence the quality of life and health in the West. Impact of technology on the care of the dying. Medical concerns in the treatment of the terminally ill. The bereavement process. Holistic impact of death and bereavement. (Not open to students who have completed Core Curriculum 3314.) 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 Satisfies Pathways College Option requirement. Starting Fall 2020 satisfies Pathways Flexible Core Individual and Society requirement.
